Windermere Real Estate Southern California is honored to partner with many local charities and non-profit organizations. Windermere recently pledged to pitch in with the Fourth Annual Childhelp Golf Tournament, taking place February 7, 2015, at Larry Ellison’s exclusive Porcupine Creek Estate.
Windermere will be donating the use of its bus to transport 20 golfers to Porcupine Creek for the tournament. After the round is over, the bus will deliver the golfers to BIGHORN for a luncheon and auction, with a host of luxurious auction item goodies, including top shelf trips to Aspen, Colorado, and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; a Corum Admirals Cup watch; and tickets to the BNP Paribas Open, just to name a few.
Green fees for the tournament are $2,500 per player or $10,000 for a foursome, with 44 total players playing in the tournament. The tournament has already sold all available slots. Between the money collected for the tournament and generous donations from members and the public, the local Indian Wells chapter has taken in roughly $100,000 for this great cause, not including the items being auctioned. The money raised goes toward California programs, with additional opportunities to donate to the local Coachella Valley Childhelp Speak Up Be Safe program at the event. Childhelp Speak Up Be Safe is a prevention and education program designed for grades 1 through 6.
Childhelp is a national non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention and treatment of child abuse. Founded by Sara O’Meara and Yvonne Fedderson in 1959, Childhelp is one of the largest child abuse prevention and treatment organizations in the United States.
