Windermere Real Estate Southern California agents and their fellow industry professionals from around the Coachella Valley participated in the 2014 Palm Springs Regional Association of Realtors (PSRAR) Harvest Auction at the Mizell Senior Center in Palm Springs. Through a silent auction and a Desert Treasures raffle, the event raised over $13,000 for four local charities.

A wide variety of colorful baskets and desserts were on display for auction. The baskets were themed for Thanksgiving and fall, with oranges, browns, and yellows dominating the auction landscape. All of the proceeds from the event go to the Boys & Girls Club of Cathedral City, Save-a-Pet, Well in the Desert, and Desert Escrow Scholarships Fund.

There were three awards handed out by the three judges, who included Windermere Real Estate Southern California General Manager Chris Anderson. Awards included most creative basket, best theme, and the basket earning the highest winning bid. In addition to the baskets, the winners of the Desert Treasures Raffle were announced. The raffle was for two treasure chests containing gift certificates for local dining, entertainment, and services, valued at $900.00 each.

“We are very happy with the participation and final tally of this great event,” stated Johnsie Walsh, Co-Chair of the PSRAR Events Committee and Windermere Realtor®. “The turnout was tremendous and everyone was in the giving spirit. Including this year’s amount, we have raised over $100,000 in the last 7 years. On behalf of our committee and the PSRAR, I would like to thank all who attended and donated to these great causes. We hope you enjoy your winnings!”
