The PSRAR Food Drive Wrap Up Party Puts A Bow On Another Successful Donation Drive

The PSRAR Food Drive Wrap Up Party was held on Wednesday, September 4th at the former Estee Lauder Estate in Palm Springs. Approximately 120 guests attended, paying the entrance fee of a new pack of socks, to see this beautiful estate and enjoy delicious catering by Eight4Nine Restaurant, upbeat music, and networking. The event was the finale of a month-long food drive benefitting Well In The Desert, which feeds the Coachella Valley poor and homeless. The organization also tallied all of the points awarded throughout the food drive to announce the winner. Of the approximately 149,000 total points given out during the food drive, the Bennion Deville Homes offices brought in 28,168 points combined or about 20% of the total raised from all brokers and affiliates.

In July, the Palm Springs Regional Association of REALTORS® (PSRAR) brokers and affiliates were given boxes to fill with food, toiletries, socks, water, and other various necessities of daily life, competing in good spirits for the highest number of points. Points were given for each item donated, ranging from 5 to 50 points awarded depending on the item. A total of 148,610 points was tabulated for a remarkable haul of donated items.

Coming together and opening our hearts throughout the year on many causes and issues is a REALTOR® tradition and community service, and we are honored to once again have played such a large part in generating these crucial supplies.”
