Phillip Baker, REALTOR®, joins Bennion Deville Homes Palm Springs Main, located at 850 North Palm Canyon Drive. Phillip earned his real estate license in 2004 and serves home buyers, sellers, and investors throughout the Coachella Valley, specializing in Palm Springs where he is a resident. Phillip also has a real estate sales license in Arizona.
Prior to moving to the Coachella Valley full-time, Phillip visited the region for over 30 years, first from the mid-west and then from Phoenix, Arizona. “I originally started coming to the Greater Palm Springs Area from Kansas City each winter to escape to the warmer climate and resort lifestyle,” Phillip says. “I immediately fell in love with the area and the unique quality of life it affords residents. Coming from the Phoenix market where there are lots of part-time residents as well, I am able to relate personally and professionally to my clients who are seeking a seasonal property.”
Before embarking upon his full-time real estate career 15 years ago, Phillip served as Advertising Director for Six Flags out of the corporate headquarters, overseeing the marketing for dozens of properties around the world. With a rich professional marketing background, Phillip’s marketing prowess and expertise is on full display for the properties he represents. “Real estate has always been my dream job as it marries my two passions: Homes and marketing while allowing me to help others in the process. I understand how important it is to successfully market and advertise in real estate to cut through the noise. Being unique and cutting-edge through tech-driven marketing is the way to truly help sellers position their properties and effectively target the right audiences. I stay up-to-date on the latest information, techniques, and trends to ensure that my clients’ properties have a competitive edge in the marketplace and are standing apart from other homes.”
Prior to entering real estate professionally, Phillip invested in properties. His vast knowledge of the investment side of real estate is a boon to his clients. “My partners and I would identify properties, purchase them, and fix them up. It was so much fun and so cool to see the property transform and turn into something that even surpassed our original vision and also pencil out on paper to be profitable. I enjoy sharing my investment strategies with my investor clients and helping them accomplish their goals, too.”
Evaluating the success of his career, Phillip cites creative marketing and client service through strong communication as the key factors for his success. “Being creative and responsive are crucial to getting to where I am, and where I want to go, in real estate. Offering tech-savvy marketing services keeps me competitive while being responsive to agent needs and inquiries keeps our link strong and builds a genuine relationship. I enjoy engaging with people, helping them, and sharing in the excitement for living in Palm Springs.”
Outside of his love for real estate and marketing, Phillip is passionate about helping others and making the community a better place. He is a regular contributor to Desert AIDS Project (DAP) and enjoys supporting the arts and non-profit sectors any way he can. “There is a huge arts scene in the Coachella Valley, and I am excited to explore and contribute to the community as it continues to blossom. I served on the National Board for the Human Rights Campaign and have experience serving on other similar boards so supporting DAP is important to me as well. I think we should all give back to make our communities stronger, so it is important to me to give back whenever and wherever possible.”
