Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade Brightens Spirits

The 109^th Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade and Ring of Lights launches in Newport Harbor December 13^th, running through the 17^th. This time-honored Orange County tradition is a must-see event over the holiday season, with gorgeous light displays on boats circling around Lido Island in famous Newport Harbor. The boats, yachts, kayaks, and canoes are all self-decorated and part of a larger contest, hosted by the Commodores Club of the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce. In addition, homes along the waterfront form the “Ring of Lights,” another decorating contest for homeowners along the parade route.

To make the affair extra special, opening night features a fireworks display at 6:15pm to cast-off the four days of fun. On closing night, December 17^th, a fireworks display will conclude the festive fun.
