Bennion Deville Homes welcomes REALTOR® Ken White to the Palm Desert San Pablo office, located at 44-530 San Pablo Avenue, Suite 101, along the refreshed thoroughfare through the heart of Palm Desert. Ken is a veteran of the Marine Corps and began his real estate career in 1998. He earned his real estate sales license in 1999. Ken helps clients purchase and sell property across the Coachella Valley, specializing in the city of Palm Desert and Woodhaven Country Club where he is a resident. He has lived in the desert full time since 2015.

From an early age, Ken recognized that a house takes on a role that goes beyond the basic need of shelter. It is the literal and figurative hub for a family, taking on a life of its own. This emotional connection is what drew him to enter the real estate industry, first in the mortgage business and then as a REALTOR®. “My parents bought a property in Temecula out in the middle of the country,” Ken shares. “I got to see the fruits of my father’s labor up close with that home. He had a vision for how it should turn out and took great care to execute the plan. Except for some of the more specialized aspects he constructed the house with help from all of us. I realized the true meaning of ‘home’ witnessing that process and seeing the pride my family took in building our house.” Years later when his family needed to sell the property, that same home helped Ken realize that real estate was his calling. “I helped the real estate agent prep the house for a showing and had fun doing it. The clients showed up to the appointment early so I gave them a tour of the property. I think I had the home sold by the time the agent arrived,” he laughs.

Prior to earning his real estate license, Ken enjoyed a successful career in the lending industry. He perfected his compassionate approach to serving clients by educating them, staying ahead of the process, and keeping an eye on the details. “My years in lending taught me how to organize everything in chronological order. I fully understand the process and clearly set expectations with my clients by explaining the steps, what they need to do, and how we can be successful together. I want to be the guy who is ahead of a transaction, so my clients’ experience is as stress-free as possible,” Ken continues. His mortgage industry expertise gives him the knowledge to be a resource to clients who are going to be financing their home purchase.

After experiencing how he made a positive impact in the lives of others as a mortgage banker, Ken realized he wanted to play an even more pivotal role for people purchasing and selling property. “In lending, I was able to help clients get into, or stay in, their homes. As a real estate agent, I experience a deeper, more personal side of the industry,” he adds. Ken takes his responsibility to his clients very seriously. “I want to be the best, so I constantly work to enhance my skillset and absorb newly available information. By performing at my peak, I’m able to look out for my clients’ best interests and deliver on their needs.”

The key to Ken’s success is his honesty. “Real estate, as with every other industry, is built on trust. People appreciate honesty, and the truth has a certain sound to it. If I am not sure of an answer I would rather find out to be sure the information I am passing along to my client is right. You must earn someone’s trust, and the only way to do that is to be honest and open,” continues Ken.

Beyond his passion for helping others through his real estate acumen, Ken enjoys assisting people in other ways, driven by his past experiences. Part of his life’s journey was a stop in Africa. To solve a food shortage in the village where he lived, Ken helped establish a rice farm. This experience drives him to donate his time and resources to FIND Food Bank. “My time in Africa taught me about community, and how to be an even better neighbor. I know what it is to be hungry, so I want to ensure no one goes through that here in the Coachella Valley. I have donated to FIND Food Bank over the years and volunteer once a week. It is personally important to give back to this cause, so I am willing to donate my time to help any way that I can.”
