Recently, Bennion Deville Homes REALTOR John Moes, based out of the Encinitas office located at 258 North El Camino Real Suite C, represented his brokerage in the North San Diego County Association of REALTORS (NSDCAR) Chili Cook-Off. This spicy soiree was held at the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach, and featured over 25 chili contest entries, as well as 10 salsa and 8 guacamole entries, for a friendly competition to see who was the best of the bunch.

John’s entry into the competition was his wife’s famous recipe, a sweet and smoky blend that tantalizes the tongue and leaves a savory, satisfying flavor on the palate. John’s best tip for concocting the perfect pot of chili – let it simmer a long time and then cool overnight. “The flavors really come out when reheated.”

“This was such a fun event,” states John. “It felt good to represent Bennion Deville Homes and I had solid support from several Bennion Deville Homes agents and staff members, which made it really fun. We didn’t win, but it was well-worth the effort. We met a lot of new people and shared a few laughs over the course of the evening.”
