Started in 1987 in Oakland, California, WonderCon has grown from a traditional, exhibit hall style comic book convention into one of the top comic conventions in the United States. Now run by Comic-Con International, WonderCon Anaheim is the sister show to Comic-Con International, held in San Diego each year, and is growing in popularity and esteem, drawing over 60,000 attendees annually.
