Celebrate and Protect Our Planet on Earth Day 2019

Earth Day 2019 is on Monday, April 22nd. Each year, Earth Day reminds us to reflect on our own personal and societal habits and make a more conscientious effort to care for the environment. Whether you celebrate Earth Day 2019 by planting a tree, picking up trash, participating in a recycling drive, or other eco-friendly activities, we have a few suggestions for some local events around Southern California commemorating the greenest of holidays:

Coachella Valley

Saturday, April 13th – Earth Day Celebration at Cabot Museum

Head up to the always cool Cabot Pueblo Museum in Desert Hot Springs for a special treat on Saturday, April 13th. The museum will be hosting a few Earth Day 2019 activities, and participants of all ages can learn more about Earth Day, environmentalism, and recycling. Monday, April 22nd – Earth Day Celebration at The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens

The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens in Palm Desert is one of the finest attractions in the Coachella Valley. San Diego

Sunday, April 28th – San Diego Earth Works Earth Day Fair

Hailed as the largest free environmental fair in the world, this Earth Day Fair takes over world-famous Balboa Park in San Diego for a day of celebrating the environment through a variety of activities. Attendees will enjoy access to food, live entertainment, art gallery installations, exhibits from a variety of organizations and programs, and plenty of fun stuff for the kids to enjoy. Saturday, April 13th – Glendora Civic Center Earth Day Celebration

If you are in the Pride of the Foothills, head to the Glendora Civic Center on Saturday, April 13th from 9am – 1pm to enjoy the Earth Day festivities. There are tons of free activities for everyone, including workshops, recycling drives, a community bike ride, live entertainment, activities for kids, vendors, and more.
