Check Out Some of Our Favorite Coachella Valley Holiday Celebrations

Coachella Valley holiday celebrations take place throughout the desert communities in the coming weeks, kicking off what is another magical season in the Greater Palm Springs Area. A few of our favorites are:

Palm Springs

The City of Palm Springs is set to kick off the holiday season with an official tree lighting ceremony on Friday, December 6th from 5-6pm. The ceremony will feature the Palm Springs City Council as well as celebrity tree-lighter Mary Hart. The tree lighting will take place at 5:15pm sharp, with caroling and story time with Santa creating a fun atmosphere augmented by free hot cocoa and cookies for everyone.

Celebrate the start of the holiday season at a high altitude. Catch the tree lighting ceremony at the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, taking place on Sunday, December 1st. Peabody and Emmy Award-Winning journalist Hank Plante will be flipping the switch on the tree at the Tram’s Mountain Station. The festivities start at 5:30pm and will include a performance by the Palm Springs High School Madrigal & String Quartet as well as a visit from Santa.

Desert Hot Springs

Join the City of Desert Hot Springs on Saturday, December 14th for a tree-lighting spectacular and holiday parade. The parade will kick off at 5:45pm and will feature a cavalcade of floats, marching bands, performers, and more. The parade route will start at Palm Drive and Mission Lakes Road and will end at Palm Drive and 2nd Street. Additionally, carnival rides, vendors, live music, and a visit from Santa Claus enhance the warmth of the season and create a fun holiday atmosphere for all who attend.
