Bernie earned his real estate license in 2011 and helps clients throughout the Coachella Valley, specializing in the cities of Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, and La Quinta. Bernie attended Minnesota State University Moorhead and has earned the Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®) and Resort and Second-Homes Property Specialist (RSPS®) designations from the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR).

Prior to entering the real estate industry full time, Bernie built a successful career in retail, operating as a Vice President – Store Manager for Macy’s. His life in the corporate world, and the geographic demands that can come with it, led him to a career in real estate. “In my corporate days, I owned 7 homes in the span of 5 years,” Bernie says. “I enjoyed home shopping and thought it would be a good next chapter in my life.”

Leveraging the skills he polished in the retail field, his passion for working with others, and experience in the real estate industry, Bernie expertly helps his clients navigate the real estate process to successful outcomes. Continues Bernie, “I enjoy learning how I can be of assistance to people and then use my skillset to accomplish their goals. I have never sold a house, the house sells itself. My job is to find the right house for my buyer, or the right buyer for a house.”

The key to success for Bernie is his ability to understand his clients’ objectives and deliver on their needs. He takes the time to get to know his clients and what’s important to them, then presents them with the best options based on their criteria. “I do what it takes to find the right property for my clients. Asking for client input to help drill down to what they want, actively listening to their needs, and running with it is crucial in business, especially real estate. I love showing homes and the incredible feeling that comes when we find the perfect one. Taking good care of your clients leads to a positive and successful outcome.”

Hailing from the Midwest, Bernie was drawn to the warmth and vibrance of the desert. After owning a vacation home in the Coachella Valley since 2012, Bernie and his husband decided to make the move permanent. “I love the Greater Palm Springs Area. From our perfect, resort weather to the walkable downtown village in Palm Springs and the incredible restaurants and people, it is an amazing place to live. Sharing the incredible lifestyle opportunities with my clients and helping them purchase their own paradise is a dream come true.”
