Bennion Deville Homes proudly welcomes REALTOR® Liz Steele to its Indian Wells office, located at 74-910 Highway 111 at the city’s major intersection of Cook Street and Highway 111. Liz, who grew up in the San Fernando Valley, entered the real estate industry in 2012 and is licensed in Washington State and California. In addition to her real estate licenses, she has also earned several industry certifications and designations, including the Exceptional Luxury Homes Certification, New Construction Specialist, and Certified New Home Specialist. Liz is of Cuban descent and is fluent in Spanish and English. She specializes in helping buyers and sellers in Sun City Shadow Hills, where she is a resident.

Prior to moving to the Coachella Valley, Liz lived in Seattle where she built a successful real estate practice and sharpened crucial skills she employs to serve her desert clients. “Creating strong relationships is everything in real estate, from clients to affiliated services and other agents,” Liz states. “Whether they are buying or selling, I provide counsel to my clients and take the time to get to know them and work on their behalf the right way. Leveraging solid relationships with others in the industry is also essential and helps my clients’ offers get the best chance at being reviewed and also accepted, especially in multiple offer situations. Having connections and taking care of the little details makes a huge impact, so my role is to take the reins and ensure I create a smooth, pleasant experience throughout.”

A big part of Liz’s real estate career has been working with new home builders. Through this side of the industry, she has developed a keen eye for staging while developing a strong ability to market homes she represents. “A property needs to be well staged and have high quality photography to make it as appealing to prospective buyers as possible. I work closely with my clients to develop strong curb appeal for their home, which will yield the best net profit. For my clients who are in the market to purchase a home, I will seek a property that fits their lifestyle goals and, if it’s a house with potential, help them visualize the possibilities within a space,” Liz continues.

The key to Liz’s success is her ability to connect with others. Each of her relationships is built out of a genuine interest in helping her clients accomplish their real estate goals. “My goal is to demonstrate my value from the start of our time together to beyond the close of the sale. I build trust with my clients by listening to their needs and investing the time required to fully understand their goals. I take a genuine interest in all members of their family and I enjoy working with people from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. Finding a common bond and link is fun, and it helps us create a strong relationship that transcends the transaction. My goal is to be their real estate advisor for years to come, so earning their confidence and standing as a trusted resource is everything.”

Liz enjoys the real estate industry for a variety of reasons, from the constantly changing business environment to the opportunities to work with others. “I really like the daily challenges of our industry. Overcoming obstacles and being rewarded for creative problem solving and perseverance is such an incredible feeling. Creating win-win situations where everyone walks away happy is also satisfying. I really enjoy getting to meet other people and developing lifelong relationships. Earning repeat and referral business is such a huge honor and a signal that I am doing my job properly,” Liz adds.

Returning to California from Seattle is a nice way for Liz to come full circle. In addition to growing up in the San Fernando Valley, she also lived in Orange County before moving to the Pacific Northwest. “The lifestyle of our desert is truly unique, and I enjoy exploring and experiencing our diverse communities and neighborhoods.” Liz is active at Sun City Shadow Hills and is a proud member of the women’s tennis team. She also enjoys golfing and hitting the local trails. “Moving back to Southern California from the Pacific Northwest makes me uniquely qualified to speak to the lifestyle change, and empathize with those who are looking to relocate either permanently or on a part-time basis.”

That money is then given back to the community by supporting local organizations and non-profits. “The foundation is a big draw for me. I was blessed to have raised 3 healthy children, but I know not everyone has that good fortune. I want to pay it forward any way that I can, so I am a contributor to St. Jude’s Hospital.” As a first generation United States citizen, Liz is also very passionate about helping others like her become first-time home owners. “I want to bridge the gap on home ownership for Hispanics and help create the generational wealth that comes with owning property.”
