The La Quinta egg hunt took place at La Quinta Community Park, with over 7,000 eggs spread into four different zones for different age groups.  Hundreds of children scrambled to collect the eggs, some stashed in hiding spots on the playground for older kids, with others laying in wait in an open field for younger participants.  Janet Zappala of KMIR News was on hand to encourage the youngsters and judge the chalk drawing contest, which took place after the exhilarating hunts.  Representatives from Bennion Deville Homes’ La Quinta offices were in attendance to hand out balloons and candy and organize the chalk drawing contest.  Kids also enjoyed their time jumping in an inflatable bounce house and meeting the Easter Bunny.

In conjunction with The Desert Recreation District, Bennion Deville Homes also hosted Eggstravaganzas in Indio and Coachella for the sixth straight year.  On top of the egg hunts, both events included exciting family-oriented activities like face painting, potato sack races, hula-hoop contests, and a visit from the Easter Bunny.  Bennion Deville Homes’ Indio office had booths at both parks, with representatives handing out balloons, candy, and holding coloring contests for the kids.  The Indio hunt was held at Indio Community Center Park and the Coachella hunt was held at Veterans’ Park.  Hundreds of children showed up for both egg hunt events, searching for thousands of eggs hidden throughout the parks.
