Apple Dessert Contest Gives Everyone A Slice of the Pie
The Rancho Mirage office of Bennion Deville Homes, located at 71691 Highway 111, recently held an apple dessert contest to see who could whip up the best creation. A windfall of fruit off of Bennion Deville Homes Co-Owner Bob Deville’s apple trees inspired the bake-off, which saw entries to the field from agents and staff. Ultimately, Martin Duggan, Director of Marketing, won the contest with an apple spice cake, earning bragging rights and a hundred dollars.
“We wanted to have some fun with our exceptional haul of apples by putting on an office baking contest,” Bob Deville says. “Our trees were extra bountiful this year and gave us hundreds of apples. This contest was the perfect way to share the bounty and inspire the inner baker in everyone. I would like to thank all who participated, whether they brought in a baked good or helped ensure leftovers were scarce. We hope this becomes an annual tradition and look forward to the next one.”
