Hats Off to 2019 Del Mar Racing Opening Day

2019 Del Mar Racing Opening Day offers you the opportunity to grab your giant hat and hit the track at Del Mar on July 17^th with a 2 pm post time. The hat competition takes place from 11:30 am until 3 pm in Plaza de Mexico, with 5 categories available for entry. Over $5,000 in prize money will be given away to the winners of the contest, so don’t hold back!

Horse racing season runs July 17^th through September 2^nd, offering weeks of exciting trackside action in one of the most beloved racing venues in the sport. To sweeten the deal, live concerts take place after races have concluded on select dates, with performances planned from Reggae Fest with Ziggy Marley, J Boog, Midland, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Iration, Chase Rice, Angels & Airwaves, and more.
