Bennion Deville Homes Realtor Wendy Matthews, who works out of the Carlsbad office, located at 300 Carlsbad Village Drive, Suite 217, was recently appointed by the San Marcos Mayor and City Council to the Planning Commission board.

Says Wendy, “I am proud to be appointed to this position and look forward to serving the City of San Marcos and its citizens. This meets one of my personal and professional goals of being an active participant in my community, and I am honored to do so in such a visible capacity.”

The Planning Commission works with the Planning Division of the City government and is responsible for evaluating and making determinations on a variety of land use matters for both long-term and short-term planning. They conduct public hearings on significant planning, zoning and land subdivision matters, such as specific plans, subdivision maps, conditional use permits and rezones, and handle any other matters as required by the municipal code.
