Wayne Soucy, REALTOR®, joins the Rancho Mirage office of Bennion Deville Homes, located at 71691 Highway 111. Wayne works with clients throughout the Coachella Valley, delivering a higher level of care by focusing on a select number of transactions at a time. Wayne is from New England and has lived in Canada for many years working in Ottawa, Ontario and Vancouver, British Columbia. From there he spent many years in Pasadena, California before moving to the Coachella Valley full-time in 2003.

Wayne’s educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of New Hampshire, a master’s degree from Northeastern University in rehabilitation administration, and his doctoral work in health planning was from the faculty of medicine at the University of British Columbia.

Prior to earning his real estate license, Wayne built a successful career as a healthcare executive at the CEO level, amassing a strong business background and carving a path as a well-respected professional in an executive management role. His experience from the healthcare field and passion for helping others seamlessly blend into his client service philosophy in real estate. “Whether personally or professionally, I have always made it my mission to help others,” Wayne says. “I take the challenge of helping my clients very seriously and apply a deep level of care to ensure their needs are being met. In order to provide an enhanced quality of attention, I try to work on only a select number of transactions at a time. This laser-focused approach allows me to truly deliver for my clients and produce a positive outcome.”

As a healthcare executive, Wayne thrived in high-stress situations with many moving parts. For him to be successful, keeping a calm demeanor and delivering on a personal code ensured great results. He applies this same ethos to his real estate career to the benefit of his clients. “I have a strong set of people skills and apply a high level of care to providing outstanding service and results. My keys to success, regardless of industry or role, are my attention to detail, listening to and delivering on client needs, and professionalism. I envision a perfect professional to be very approachable, which is exactly how I operate with my clients.”

After accomplishing so much in the healthcare industry, Wayne saw his opportunity to continue to care for others in a different way through real estate. A “suppressed passion” for many years, homes grew to a strong level of significance to Wayne from his childhood and into his adult life. “We moved a lot when I was a kid so my parents bought and sold a lot of houses. As a result, I became very good at identifying what it was we required to be happy in each new place we moved. I always enjoyed matching our housing essentials and desires to help my parents, which I now utilize to help my clients. I enjoy seeing housing designs and matching them up to the needs of others based on their set of goals and what will make them happy.”

Outside of his professional life, Wayne dedicates his time to helping others. He has held several prominent roles in local non-profit organizations, including Family Services of the Desert. He also helped co-found the local chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, was a founding member of Health Assessment and Research for Communities, and has been active with California Health Advocates, the Community Clinic Association, and more. “I am passionate about helping others and I like to give back when there is a need. My goal is to pitch in as much as I can, wherever I can.” In addition to his philanthropic pursuits, Wayne enjoys living the relaxed Southern California desert lifestyle and finds peace in the unique geography, climate, and general atmosphere of the Coachella Valley. He also relishes spending quality time in the surrounding mountain communities, specifically Lake Arrowhead, where he has a second home.
