Looking to what the Orange County market holds in 2019, Sari sees a shift but is optimistic there are still plenty of deals to be made. “This is the first time the market has done anything but appreciate since the recession. However, I believe this situation will be less dramatic than it was in 2007. The main factor to watch this year will probably be interest rates and how they will affect home buying and selling. It is never a bad time to talk to us about your situation, whether you are selling or buying. When selling, we can help you prepare your house so it will be viewed at its highest level. When buying, we can prepare your offer in a way where the seller takes it seriously. And because of our track record and being a top agent in Laguna Niguel, we have a lot of respect from others. For example, if we write an offer and it comes from our team, the sellers know we work with good buyers and have a great reputation.”

In addition, Sari has a few tips for homeowners preparing to put their home up for sale this year. “Another key factor in 2019 will be to look at the overall quality of a home before placing it on the market. There is so much preparation that goes into listing a home that clients sometimes do not realize, especially in these market conditions. A potential listing has to be completely ready, not half ready. In previous years agents could just pop up a sign and get offers with minimum promotional effort; that will not happen in 2019. Clients need to hire agents who know how to position a home and market it properly. Getting a home ready to sell now requires more than just putting your clutter away, it needs to meet more expectations and appeal to potential buyers to be taken seriously. Hiring the right real estate professional is more critical now than ever, and we look forward to helping our clients stand out.”
