Windermere Real Estate Southern California is pleased to announce the addition of Tim Burks and Kathy Coons to their growing family of real estate professionals in the Coachella Valley. Tim has joined Windermere’s Palm Springs Main office located at 850 N Palm Canyon Drive, in the Uptown Design District. Kathy was welcomed to Windermere’s Palm Desert Portola office located at 73-993 Highway 111, near El Paseo.
Tim Burks – Palm Springs Main
After 25 years as the domestic and international sales manager for a major sporting goods manufacturer, Tim Burks moved from Seattle to Vancouver, BC, where he began working as an Administrative Officer for an immigration law firm specializing in both US and Canadian immigrations. A Coachella Valley homeowner since 2009, Tim had been visiting the Palm Springs area for over 10 years before he made the move to the desert.
Considering his experience in international sales, his expertise on immigration and his love for Palm Springs, it seemed like a natural extension for Tim to join Windermere Southern California, the local market leader, when he decided to begin working in real estate. Tim enjoys working with his international clients from Asia, Canada and China who are interested in buying in the Palm Springs area. Tim’s unique background of sales and immigration experience allows him to anticipate and find answers to his clients’ questions regarding taxes, renting, long distance maintenance and potential financing.
“Tim comes to us with an extensive background in sales, a love of the local communities and an enthusiastic, upbeat personality,” said David Cantwell, Managing Broker for Windermere’s Palm Springs Main & Midtown offices. “He makes a fine addition to our office and we are pleased to have him join us.”
Kathy Coons – Palm Desert Portola
Kathy Coons comes to Windermere with an extensive work background in commercial property management and real estate. Kathy’s 30 years of work in commercial property management covered multiple markets throughout California, including the Bay Area, the Central Coast, Orange County and much of the Inland Empire. Kathy worked with investment firms and banks on REO and properties in receivership. Her familiarity with the diverse markets of California, real estate sales and property management make her an excellent resource for buyers and sellers in the process of relocation.
A Coachella Valley homeowner since 2003, Kathy moved to the desert resort cities to be closer to family. An avid reader, hiker, and bridge player, Kathy appreciates the natural beauty as well as the cultural resources of the desert, including the McCallum Theatre, where she is a frequent patron. Kathy has worked with buyers and sellers from Palm Springs to Indio but particularly focuses on the East Valley cities of Palm Desert, La Quinta and Indian Wells. She has represented her clients in the developments of Indian Springs, Sandpiper, and the La Quinta Cove. Kathy frequently works alongside Faith Messenger, also of Windermere’s Palm Desert Portola office.
“A knowledgeable agent with an extensive history of California markets, Kathy makes an exceptional addition to our office,” said Sandi Richardson, Managing Broker for Windermere’s Palm Desert Portola office. “We are excited that she chose to join us and look forward to helping her take her business to the next level.”
