Bennion Deville Homes Welcomes Oasis Elementary School Students Back to Class

Since 2008, Bennion Deville Homes has built a lasting, special bond with the 4^th grade classes at Oasis Elementary School in Thermal. To commemorate the students returning to class at the beginning of each school year, agents and staff from the La Quinta office, located at 47-250 Washington Street, visit these bright kids to drop off school supplies and treats. This annual tradition has become one that all 4^th graders at the school eagerly anticipate. The back-to-school trip is the first of three visits the office makes throughout the year and establishes a connection between the new students and the professionals at Bennion Deville Homes.

Recently, Managing Brokers Sandy Beakey and George Baca, along with REALTORS^® Candida Garcia, Maria Capri-Horsman, and Sheila Quintero Brewster, staff member Scott Woodard, as well as SoCal Direct Lending affiliate Ivy Scott, made the trip to introduce themselves to the kids and share in the joys of forming new friendships and positively affecting the lives of these youths. “We thoroughly enjoy the relationships that we have built with Oasis Elementary School and the 4^th grade classes for going on 11 years this year,” Sandy states. “The students are always wonderful and appreciative of everything we provide for them. We look forward to future visits over the course of this school year to give the students their seasonal gifts and to share in the exciting experience of coming of age at such a fun time in one’s life.”

When the La Quinta office began visiting Oasis Elementary School, the school was located on a dirt road with little resources and was lacking essentials such as working heating and air conditioning. The agents at the La Quinta office of Bennion Deville Homes learned that only one of the four 4^th grade classes received outside support of any kind, so the office rallied together to provide the other three classes and the special education students with the supplies they require to complete the school year. Today, Oasis Elementary School has grown into a beautiful, thriving campus with an excellent faculty and staff, and with more resources for the kids to enjoy, thanks in part to the generosity of donations from businesses and organizations such as the La Quinta office of Bennion Deville Homes. In addition to the back-to-school trip, members of the La Quinta office visit the kids in December to give the children toys and supplies, and then again at the end of the school year for some fun and games, as well as to donate books for summer reading.
