Karen first got involved with Women’s Council of REALTORS® Palm Springs-Desert Cities in 2006, serving in different capacities including Education Committee Chair and Vice President of Membership. In 2013, she was elected by the general membership to become the 2015 President. “It is an honor to serve in this capacity. I aim to bring value to our members through quality educational, leadership, and networking opportunities, which I hope will translate into increasing our membership base next year and beyond,” states Karen.
The local network of the organization is beta-testing a new format in 2015. In lieu of monthly luncheon events, the group will hold four large events and two fundraisers throughout the course of the year, with smaller events and mixers added to the schedule as needed. “We are expanding our strong team to achieve our new objectives for the year. Our network wants to embrace the change in the market so we may grow and provide deeper value to our members,” she adds.
The Women’s Council of REALTORS® Palm Springs-Desert Cities network is one of the nation’s largest chapters, focusing on providing its members with education, networking, and leadership opportunities. The group is open to both women and men. For more information on the local network, please visit their website.
