Greg Leonard, REALTOR®, joins the Palm Desert San Pablo office of Bennion Deville Homes, located at 44-530 San Pablo Avenue, Suite 101. Greg serves clients throughout the Coachella Valley, specializing in South Palm Desert where he and his wife Kippi are residents. In addition to a real estate sales license, Greg also earned his Real Estate Negotiations Expert (RENE) certification and is in the process of completing his Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist (RSPS) certification through the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR).
Prior to earning his real estate license, Greg built a highly successful 27-year career in the automotive industry, working his way up to General Manager where he turned good businesses into great ones through hard work, leadership, and business savvy. His desire to get into real estate sparked from his passion for helping others and his experience operating one of the largest Toyota dealerships in the Pacific Northwest. “I have always loved homes and enjoy the process of buying and selling real estate,” Greg says. “Real estate is a people business, just like the automotive industry. I find working with others to be so much fun and rewarding, and I appreciate that no two deals are the same. The unique challenges that come with each client’s situation makes my role in the process very rewarding.”
Part of Greg’s key to success in business is his organized approach to what can be a chaotic experience. “Consistency in the process is critical to maintaining the course and creating successful outcomes. You have to stick to the 3 P’s: People, process, and product. Know your product, understand your process, which is the key to being organized, and deliver for your people.” This approach positions his clients to accomplish their goals while also forging bonds that last a lifetime. “My vision for client service is to create long-term relationships, not just work on a single transaction. I seek to understand what drives them so we can really meet their needs and create trust between us. To build that foundation of trust, I always follow through on what I say I am going to do and make sure my clients understand I serve their interests first and foremost in everything that we do together.” Greg’s ability to interact and engage with people of all walks of life coupled with his integrity and sincerity in business is often a breath of fresh air for many of his clients and is a key differentiator for his business.
In addition to his genuine approach to client service, Greg has invaluable experience in marketing and negotiations. “I was the Chairman and President of the Portland Metro Toyota Dealers Association where I managed a multi-million-dollar advertising and marketing budget on behalf of 14 dealerships. Working with our agency of record, we facilitated strategic marketing plans across all media platforms, including broadcast, print, digital, and social.” Greg’s marketing prowess is a huge plus to his clients as he can put his experience to maximize the reach of his clients’ properties and generate as much attention as possible.
Originally from the Pacific Northwest and a long-time visitor to the Coachella Valley, Greg appreciates the high quality of life the desert offers its residents. After many years of vacations to the warm confines of the Greater Palm Springs Area, Greg and his wife decided to move to the desert full-time. He relishes sharing his passion for the desert lifestyle with his clients and enjoys golfing the plethora of local world-class golf courses. He is also a licensed pilot, an avid downhill skier, and loves cooking and spending time with family and friends when he isn’t helping clients achieve their real estate goals.
