Bennion Deville Homes welcomes REALTOR® James Campbell to the Palm Springs office, located at 201 North Palm Canyon Drive, Suite 120, in the heart of the Downtown Palm Springs village. A native Californian, James grew up in San Francisco and then lived in Los Angeles for 30 years before making the permanent move to the Coachella Valley. James earned his real estate sales license in 2017 and works with clients throughout the desert, specializing in Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage, and La Quinta.
Before entering into real estate full-time, James made his mark in multiple industries. James spent over 30 years as a singer/actor and was also a National Sales and Training Manager in the luxury fragrance & skincare industry. His diverse background, coupled with his real estate experience, gives his clients an edge because he understands the fundamentals of effective business strategies and how to connect with others. “My blended background of performing and working in the high-end retail sector is a huge contributing factor to my success in real estate,” James says. “In those roles, I acquired significant team-building and recruitment experience, created goal-setting and coaching strategies, and deployed effective sales planning and execution strategies across wide business regions. I use these tools in a variety of ways to help my clients accomplish their goals, whatever they may be.”
As a seasoned real estate professional, James understands how to engage with clients to provide the best service possible. This effective approach leads to building solid relationships of trust and commitment. He adds, “There is no greater feeling of a job well done than when clients return for their next real estate transaction or refer their family and friends.” He believes that listening is key in any relationship – business or personal. “Additionally, you have to do your research, be flexible, and demonstrate to your clients that you are in tune with their needs. I strive to be authentic and to build trust through integrity and accountability.”
Real estate pairs James’ passion for supporting others and helping people realize their dream of homeownership. For these reasons, it was his calling long before he entered the industry full-time. “It is amazing to be able to make a significant impact on someone’s life by assisting them in buying or selling a property. Growing up, it seemed as though my parents would take my siblings and me to open houses almost every other weekend. I don’t think it’s an accident that 4 out of 5 of us ended up getting our real estate licenses. The business is in our DNA,” he laughs.
Building a real estate practice is a challenge that takes discipline, dedication, and the ability to adapt to a variety of constantly changing variables. James embraces these aspects of the industry to better serve his clients. “I love that with every day there is a new challenge, and an opportunity to learn something new. No two transactions are the same, so there is always something unique to experience.”
Outside of his passion for real estate, James is an avid traveler. He has a penchant for meeting new people and enjoys connecting with others and the desert’s unrivaled lifestyle and relaxed vibe. James also loves the desert’s elite hiking trails and outdoor activities. Additionally, he gets involved in the community in any way that he can. One little-known fact about James is that he is an ordained minister and has officiated many family and friends’ weddings.
