Returning July 15^th and 16^th, Festival of the Bells will celebrate the 248^th Anniversary of the founding of Mission San Diego de Alcala, known as the birthplace of California. To commemorate the founding of the mission by Father Junipero Serra, the mission will feature food and craft vendors and host events over the course of the weekend, including live entertainment, fun zone, music, dancing, and more. For the only time during the year, all five Mission bells will ring out, including the original bell that dates back to 1802.
