Bennion Deville Homes welcomes Broker Associate Cena Caterine. She joins The Encore Premier Group, spearheaded by Tom Bogle, John O’Brien, and David Tallman, at The Springs Onsite office, located at 174 ½ Yale Drive in Rancho Mirage. Having earned her real estate license in 1989, Cena’s deep background in the industry and strong commitment to helping others make her a nice addition to the growing Encore Premier Group team. Cena has earned the Short Sales & Foreclosure Resource® (SFR®), Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®), and Green designations from the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR®).

Drawn to the glamour of the desert, Cena moved to Palm Springs in 1978 where she fell in love the local surroundings and calming ambiance of the natural landscape. The combination of her passion for the desert lifestyle and her love of helping people is the fuel that keeps her driven in the industry. “After spending 20 years in fashion retail, I found my calling in real estate,” she says. “I am really good at helping others and coming up with creative solutions. Buying and selling a home is often the largest financial decision in someone’s life, so my goal with every client is to take the time to deliver exceptional service and make sure they have a stress-free experience. I deliver a personal touch to each client.”

With 30 years in the industry, Cena leverages her wealth of experience to deliver exceptional service to her clients. “The key to success is maintaining a constant line of communication and truly understanding a client’s needs. By actively listening, I discover what my client’s goals are and then work toward accomplishing them with a well-planned strategy.” Part of creating a seamless experience is solving tough situations as they arise. Cena’s long-term success in real estate coupled with her business savvy helps her solve problems and deliver on her client’s goals.

In addition to her experience and knack for creating a smooth process, Cena’s patient approach and work ethic has helped her build a strong book of business and referrals. She takes the time to work with all of her clients and does not rush them in the decision-making process. “Patience is critical in real estate. You have to take the time and be thorough to ensure everyone is satisfied with the outcome. The last thing I want to do is push someone toward a decision they are not 100% committed to making.” Her patient, hands-on approach also helps with the marketing and promotion of a listing, which she tirelessly commits herself to for all homes she represents. “My job is to paint a lifestyle picture with each listing. From the description we use in the MLS and on printed collateral to pushing out a listing digitally, I do a tremendous amount of marketing across all platforms to help my listings stand out from the rest,” she continues. Along with her marketing know-how, Cena has a unique eye for design and can help her clients get their home “market-ready” through simple staging techniques and decluttering to spruce things up and further connect the lifestyle image she wants to portray.

Cena’s commitment to helping people goes beyond her career in real estate. She is immersed in several different organizations throughout the Coachella Valley, including Rotary Club, The Springs Woman, Olive Crest, Muses at McCallum Theater, Publicity Chairwoman for Palm Springs Press Club, Co-Chair of Palm Desert Forest Homes, and is active at Desert Chapel Church. Why give back and be so intimately involved in the local community? “I like people and can’t say ‘no,’” she laughs. “I want to help make our community a better place, so I will do anything I can do enhance everyone’s experience. If someone needs something done, I figure out a way to make it happen.” Cena is also a commissioned painter, with pieces hanging in destinations throughout Southern California.
