Splash House

August 13th – 15th & August 20th – 22nd
Splash House is back for another installment of fun in the desert sun. This annual desert music festival goes off like a giant pool party, featuring live DJ sets paired with some of the finest pools in Palm Springs. This time around, the semi-annual Splash House music festival hits the pools of Palm Springs Friday, August 13th, through Sunday, August 15th, and then again the following weekend running Friday, August 20th through Sunday, August 22nd. Splash House brings a party like no other to the SoCal desert. Hotels hosting this wet and wild time include The Renaissance, the recently renamed Margaritaville Resort Palm Springs, and The Saguaro. After hour parties will be held at the Palm Springs Air Museum. Tickets are sold out, however, a waitlist is available if you are interested in joining. Festival of Arts Laguna Beach

Through September 3rd
The Festival of Arts in Laguna Beach is back for another season showcasing impressive creative works, running now through September 3rd. The original Laguna Beach art festival, Festival of Arts showcases all juried original works from southern Orange County artists as well as the famed Pageant of the Masters, a spectacle re-creating famous works of art with real people standing in as subjects of the paintings. The theme for this year’s Pageant of the Masters is “Made in America: Trailblazing Artists and Their Stories” and will feature classic works re-created on a rotating stage with a narrator telling the tale of each work.
This year’s festival will include safety measures to ensure a comfortable experience for all, including enhanced cleaning, availability of hand sanitizer, mobile ticketing, and required face coverings for all guests. Get more details here.

Orange County Fair

Head to the Orange County Fair for a month of epic fun and excitement, taking place at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa through August 15th. As it does each year, the Orange County Fair will feature creative concoctions and confections, live music, exhibits, midway carnival games, thrill rides, and more. Del Mar Racing

Through September 6th
A long-standing San Diego tradition, a day out at Del Mar offers unrivaled excitement. Horse racing season runs through September 6th, offering weeks of exciting trackside action in one of the most beloved racing venues in the sport.
Between the bevvy of food and beverage options, variety of seating areas to take in the sights and sounds of the races, and electric atmosphere, this is a spectacle to behold. The 44th Annual World Bodysurfing Championships

August 21st & 22nd
The 44th Annual World Bodysurfing Championships break for shore on Saturday, August 21st, and Sunday, August 22nd. Held in Oceanside each year adjacent to the pier, the event is expected to draw 350-400 bodysurfers from around the world to compete for trophies and prizes in their respective age divisions.
The contest is slated to begin at 6:30am each morning, with the Men’s and Women’s Grand Champions crowned Sunday afternoon. Nothing beats a Southern California day at the beach, and with world-class bodysurfers ripping up the waves, a day of excitement and entertainment is a guarantee. St. George’s Greek Summer Festival

August 21st
Returning as a hybrid event this August, the beloved St. George’s Greek Summer Festival returns on Saturday, August 21st, from 11am – 8pm. In-person attendees can expect the traditional St. George’s treatment celebrating all things Greek: Greek Dancers, a bake sale, a bazaar of beautiful goods and wares, live music, incredible food, tours of the church, and more. If you want to support the festival but can’t stay, you can enjoy delicious Greek food and baked goods “to-go” via drive-thru or for pickup.

Bike the Bay

August 22nd
Bike the Bay returns for another riveting ride through a variety of stunning San Diego sceneries. Grab your bike and prepare to pedal a sweeping 25-mile course on Sunday, August 22nd. The planned circuit meanders around San Diego Bay via the Bayshore Bikeway, riding through the cities of Coronado, Imperial Beach, Chula Vista, National City, and Downtown San Diego. Proceeds from the ride benefit the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition, an organization dedicated to improving the safety, connectivity, and quality of life for all who ride in San Diego.
This community event is non-competitive and accommodates riders of all abilities. It also offers the only chance to (legally) ride across the San Diego–Coronado Bay Bridge, with jaw-dropping sights of the soaring skyline and expansive coastline. With a gentle, flat course planned, even novice riders will enjoy the pace and distance.

Long Beach Greek Festival

September 4th – 6th
The Long Beach Greek Festival makes a triumphant return to dish out colorful, cheerful Greek culture over Labor Day weekend. This 3-day festival takes place September 4th through the 6th, at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church in Long Beach. Prepare to celebrate all things Greek, including delightful dishes and delicacies, live Greek music and dancing, cooking demonstrations, shopping, and more. If you can’t get to Greece over Labor Day, this is the next best thing!

Orange International Street Fair

September 3rd – 5th
The Orange International Street Fair rolls back into the City of Orange, taking place Friday, September 3rd, through Monday, September 5th. This international celebration of culture and food features flavors from around the world, paired with delicious brews and live entertainment.
An Orange County tradition, the Orange International Street Fair offers food and drink options from a diverse set of countries served by local non-profit organizations. This massive food festival is one of Southern California’s most popular due to its iconic location and combination of excellent fare, lively crowd, and toe-tapping tunes. In addition, there is a children’s area to explore with your little ones, and a variety of vendor booths will be present, including arts and crafts booths selling their wares.
