Broker Associate Greg Ballard of the Bennion Deville Homes Rancho Mirage office, located at 71691 Highway 111, was recently voted as a Chairman of the Palm Desert Housing Commission. Greg will hold the seat until the end of 2017, and will be up for re-election in January of 2018. His Chairmanship involves making critical decisions for the City’s 1,200+ rental units, taking into account everything from landscaping to road re-pavement, as well as when, where, and whether or not to build new housing projects. Greg has been a member of the Housing Commission since 2014.
Decisions by the Housing Commission allow seniors and low-income families to live a good life. Applicants for these units, most of which have been refurbished, are screened based on income. “I am honored and blessed to be a part of this commission,” Greg states. “This is one of the best thing I have ever done in my life. It is very rewarding work, and it leaves me with a great feeling to know I am helping others. My time on the commission has truly made me a better human.”
The son of a developer, Greg grew up in the housing industry and was even mentored in senior housing and development, which helps his role on the board. “My goal is to make the best morally and ethically sound decisions possible. Our goal is to break even on all our projects in order to maximize the good we can do for the residents of Palm Desert and help as many people find happiness as possible.” Greg’s lifetime of expertise coupled with his profession as a real estate agent gives him the perfect knowledge base to draw from when making tough decisions. “I love being so intimately involved because this position marries my personal and professional aspirations. I have found joy in new places, and in turn can better help people with their real estate needs in my professional life.”
States Bob Deville, Co-Owner of Bennion Deville Homes, “We would like to congratulate Greg on earning Chairmanship on the Palm Desert Housing Commission. His humble approach to business and strong background in development and senior housing make him the perfect person to serve on such an important government body. We wish him success for the rest of the year and look forward to supporting his run for re-election in 2018.”Next Post Previous Post
