Bennion Deville Homes welcomes REALTOR® Andrea Lynn Duncan to the Encinitas office, located at 258 North El Camino Real, Suite C. Andrea earned her real estate license in 2011, and was in the industry for several years prior, giving her a strong foundation of knowledge and know-how to help buyers and sellers throughout Southern California, including Orange, North San Diego, and Riverside counties.
Before earning her real estate sales license, Andrea worked for a real estate investment company where her duties included scouting locations to build new communities and picking finishes for homes. This exposure to the industry resonated with her, and fueled her passion for the business. “Real estate is so much fun,” she says. “Architecture and design are my two favorite aspects of the business, and I love sharing that passion with my clients. The way people feel when they get their keys and the relationship we develop through the process is truly special.”
As a veteran of the industry, Andrea understands how to grow and nourish meaningful client relationships. As a result, the last thing she describes herself as is “salesy” and prides herself on keeping her promises to clients. “You have to be open with your communication and completely up front about expectations to get off on the right foot. I also want to make sure that my clients and I ‘click’ in a real way. That connection is vital to the success of our partnership because real estate is so personal and intimate. We need to have an unbreakable bond of trust between us and be as open as possible.”
In addition to her love of design and her relationship-oriented style, clients enjoy Andrea’s fierce negotiation tactics and deep understanding of the latest market trends. “The key to success is having strong knowledge of the market and understanding how to use it to your advantage. You can leverage information to the benefit of your situation in negotiations, but also need to arm your clients with the most up-to-date, relevant details so they can make an informed decision. You have to stay focused and disciplined when it comes to keeping tabs on the latest information,” she adds.
When she isn’t guiding her clients toward a satisfactory real estate resolution, Andrea volunteers her time for a variety of causes, including fundraisers and food drives for animals and seniors. “It is important to maintain a philanthropic relationship with the community and give back whenever possible. I feel a greater sense of accomplishment and value by helping others, and knowing that my actions are making a positive impact in someone else’s life is a major reward.”
