Tyler leverages his 16-year military career to help buyers and sellers, as well as military families, throughout the Coachella Valley, specializing in the City of Palm Springs.
Prior to serving clients as a Realtor, Tyler served our country in the Marine Corps. His experience in the armed forces set him up nicely for his career in real estate because many of the same skills he developed to help others in combat situations carry over into his role as a real estate professional. “You have to take decisive action based on the information at hand, something that, although not as dramatic in real estate, comes in handy when working with clients on life-changing decisions,” Tyler says. “Consulting and negotiating are also two critical components to success in the military since most of our tasks and duties were centered around working as a team. Being able to work with others in high-stress situations and navigate the proper channels to a successful outcome is imperative.” Tyler also cites mentoring others as a big part of his role in the military, a facet of his past life that he brings to the table to educate and inspire his clients.
Real estate has always been something that Tyler wanted to do, and the profession aligns perfectly with his desire to help others advance their lives. “I love the idea of what a home represents to a family. The fact that I get to share that passion with others so they may make the best choices for their respective lives is an amazing part of my role in real estate,” continues Tyler. He also relishes the opportunity to work with and meet new people, especially other military families, a lifestyle and unique set of needs that Tyler understands intimately.
Tyler enjoys his detail as a real estate professional, working closely with clients and implementing the discipline and honor ingrained in him as a Marine to create a distinct brand of service. The underlying factor in all client relationships is motivation, and making sure that the needs that drive that motivation, are being met. “In order to get to the root of what inspires someone to act, you have to effectively communicate with them. It takes asking the right questions and actively listening to open the door, and then being honest and up front to gain the trust required to carry out the transaction,” Tyler adds.
Beyond his passion for creating a better quality of life for others, Tyler and his fiancée are fierce in their love of rescuing greyhounds by participating in greyhound retirement days and adopting this elegant dog. “The athletic qualities of greyhounds are exploited in the world of dog racing, where they are not cared for properly and treated inhumanely. We want to do something for our best friends by rescuing them from this horrible life and showing them that unconditional love that they show us as ‘Man’s best friend.’”
