William has lived in San Diego since 1989 and works with home buyers and sellers throughout metro San Diego, spanning from La Mesa to La Jolla, and has a passion for restoring vintage homes. He is a Certified Negotiations Expert (CNE) and Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES).
Prior to focusing entirely on real estate, William was in the biotech industry where he ascended from a role in engineering to consulting with biomedical firms on their internal processes and protocols. This experience makes him a better real estate agent as he can translate his ability to work through complicated processes and simplify them for others, all while setting expectations throughout the duration of the project.
Although he excelled in the biotech field, William’s true passion is for homes and real estate, which he has been involved in throughout his life. “I tried to get my real estate license at 16, but my parents told me no,” laughs William. “I have always been fascinated with homes and the excitement of the possibilities within the new places I’ve moved. That fascination sparked my personal interest in restoring old homes and giving them back their original life and personality. Sharing this passion and experience with my clients while making the process smooth and successful is why I went into real estate full time.”
William knew his personal real estate experiences would ultimately lead him to fulfilling his lifelong desire of earning his real estate license. “When I was buying homes for myself, I would review the contracts on my own and make suggestions on the negotiations. I was always able to sell my properties for more money, or purchase them for less. I enjoyed the full process and knew that I was good at it, so it made sense for me to take my pursuits up a level and help others using my experience,” he adds. Having been a client on several deals before, William is able to focus his services to best meet and exceed client needs. “I love the connection that I build with each client, which to me is the most important part of real estate. The process is about being honest with each other and working together to accomplish a unified goal, and the best way to do this is to really get to know them and understand the lifestyle they desire.”
In addition to working diligently on his clients’ behalf, he also works hard for his daughter’s school, serving as a member of the School Site Council for the last four years where he reviews budgetary items and works on special projects, including a marketing campaign. “I enjoy having a hand in the process and doing my part to give back so the students have the best education experience possible.”
