Maya has had her real estate license since 1993 and has lived in Orange County since 2000, giving her a wealth of experience in the industry and in the local communities to guide her clients down the right decision path. She works with buyers and sellers throughout Orange County, including the communities of Laguna Niguel, Dana Point, Laguna Hills, and Laguna Beach.
Maya has a strong background in real estate, starting with her time in Property Management where she helped clients find the perfect lifestyle and sharpened her abilities to work with contractors, stage homes, and learn and understand building and housing codes. “My experience in Property Management coupled with my time as a Realtor® allows me to truly help my clients in all facets of their real estate needs, regardless of whether they are buying or selling,” she states.
Over the course of her professional career, Maya has developed a strong ability to serve her clients, which all boils down to one fundamental skill: listening. “Communication is all about listening, which is the most critical skill to have in this business. In order to best meet client needs, you have to be able to ask the right questions and listen to understand exactly what it is they are looking to accomplish,” Maya adds. Her philosophy of handling each transaction as if it were her own and over-delivering for her clients has helped her build a solid foundation within the business and makes her a hit with her clients.
Maya enjoys the emotional connection of the real estate process, especially meeting people with diverse backgrounds – even those who are not from the United States so she may converse with them in one of five languages she speaks. “It is so much fun to meet new people and get to know them so intimately. I especially enjoy speaking to people who do not speak English as their primary language. Communicating with them in their native tongue is a joy and we seem to connect on a deeper level,” she continues. Maya, who is from France, is fluent in English, French, Arabic, German, and Spanish.
Coinciding with her love of meeting new people comes Maya’s love of giving back to others, donating time to various causes in a plethora of ways. “I volunteer at my kids’ school in any way that I can, donate blood at blood drives whenever possible, and plan on getting involved with volunteering at shelters for domestic and child abuse.”
Maya came to Bennion Deville Homes because of the brokerage’s philosophy on allowing real estate agents to be their own unique brand. “The freedom to run my own business the way that I want to run it, yet have the support of a professional and ethical company when I need it is a huge draw. I also have the opportunity to continue my education and development here through training programs and get one-on-one support from my Managing Broker. I enjoy the family atmosphere I experience here as opposed to being a number like at other brokerages. These elements all add up to help me be my best for each client,” Maya concludes.
