Windermere Real Estate SoCal welcomes John Moes to its Carlsbad office. John will be moving to the new Encinitas location in 2015.

Windermere Real Estate SoCal is proud to welcome REALTOR® John Moes to its team of real estate professionals at the Carlsbad office, located at 300 Carlsbad Village Drive, Suite 217, with plans to relocate to the Encinitas office when it opens in 2015. Focusing on the coastal North County communities of Carlsbad, Encinitas, Vista, and San Marcos, Moes crafts an exceptional client service experience and applies his strong management background to ensure that each transaction is accomplished successfully.

With 35 years of executive-level hospitality management experience, Moes dishes out a unique blend of personalized customer service and business savvy for every client. “Each of them has specific and individual needs that drive every activity I do,” says Moes. “My time in the restaurant business taught me how to prioritize, organize, and most importantly, treat others as you would want to be treated. It takes time and commitment to earn respect and trust. I put my energies into giving my all for my clients, making sure that they are happy, even after the process has been completed and the ink on the contract is dry. That connection and follow-up is as important to me as it is to them.”

Moes oversees every aspect of the transaction, ensuring that all critical parts continue to move in the right direction. “As the person responsible to lead a wide variety of personalities and working styles, I remain flexible and open while doing what it takes to complete the deal as seamlessly as possible.”

Windermere SoCal appealed to Moes because of its strong brand reputation. “It is important for me to align myself with a company that reflects the same core values and standards of excellence that I have. For those reasons, I chose Windermere.”

Says Joe Wogoman, Managing Broker, “We are excited to welcome John to our Carlsbad office family. His professional background in the hospitality industry and uncompromising standards of excellence set him up for success with Windermere.”

Windermere Real Estate SoCal Welcomes Lisa Mullen

Windermere Real Estate SoCal proudly welcomes Lisa Mullen to the Carlsbad office.
Windermere Real Estate SoCal proudly welcomes Lisa Mullen to the Carlsbad office.

Windermere Real Estate SoCal is pleased to welcome Realtor® Lisa Mullen to its team of dedicated real estate professionals at the Carlsbad office, located at 300 Carlsbad Village Drive, Suite 217. Lisa uses her passion for helping others and intimate knowledge of the coastal North County market to enhance the real estate experience and create positive results for clients.

Prior to becoming a real estate agent, Lisa worked for her husband’s General Contractor business, helping clients choose designs and running the business behind the scenes. “I really enjoyed the consulting portion of my previous position,” says Lisa. “Becoming a Realtor® was a logical transition for me since I can use my experience presenting options to clients and assisting them with making the best decision based on their needs.”

Lisa enjoys working closely with her clients and providing a good experience from start to finish, often going the “extra mile” for them. “I pinpoint my clients’ needs and then execute from there. For buyers, that means finding the perfect home that suits their desired lifestyle, and for sellers, that means negotiating on their behalf and keeping their interests as the focal point of the process.”

As a mother of five boys, all grown now, Lisa has the ability to juggle many commitments and organize a jam-packed calendar. In addition to the usual child-rearing activities, Lisa also volunteered with the Carlsbad Unified School District PTA and at the Bishop’s School in La Jolla, where her duties included annual fundraisers, a position on the Performing Arts Committee, running the book exchange, and helping out in the library. “Looking back, it is amazing to think that I was able to do all of that in addition to working,” Lisa adds. Her experience running a household and the back office of her husband’s business has given her lifelong organizational skills that she uses to serve her clients and keep their transactions on track.

Lisa joined Windermere SoCal for a couple of reasons. Her stepmom works for Windermere in Seattle, so she had an existing family connection with insight into the brand. In addition, she found the structure and culture of Windermere SoCal appealing. “Windermere blew me away. The company is top-notch and a well-oiled machine, with high integrity, amazing support and training opportunities, and all of the agents are genuinely happy. It is nice to have people be there for me,” Lisa concludes.

States Joe Wogoman, Managing Broker, “We are excited to have Lisa Mullen join our team at the Carlsbad office. Her background in real estate and experiences raising a family and running a business translate well to the way our company is structured. I look forward to working with Lisa and welcome her warmly to our Windermere family.”

Windermere SoCal offices celebrated the holidays in unique ways this year, brightening the spirits of co-workers and members of the local community.

Windermere Real Estate SoCal fosters a warm, close-knit culture throughout the company, with each office having its own unique personality centered on the agents and staff who make up the branch’s identity. Up and down the Southern California coast, Windermere SoCal offices celebrated the holidays and embraced the spirit of the season, hosting a variety of events and helping spread holiday cheer in the process.

In Orange County, Director of Managing Brokers Sandi Richardson’s Laguna Beach and Laguna Niguel offices held a combined office potluck with a community-oriented spin. In addition to a dish for the potluck, all in attendance brought an unwrapped toy and canned goods. The toys were donated to the Boys & Girls Club of Orange County and the canned goods were provided to the Food Bank of Laguna Beach. Through the efforts of the party, over 60 toys and 130 non-perishable food items were donated. “We were happy to have some office fun and share in the spirit of giving toward these worthy causes,” says Sandi. “I am proud of our offices’ combined collection efforts. It is good to know that we are doing our part to make sure every child has a gift and everyone has access to a warm meal this holiday season.”

In San Diego, Managing Broker Kirk Gregor hosted a holiday party for his Little Italy and Hillcrest/Mission Hills offices. Filled with festive fun, the party included delicious fare, drinks, a white elephant gift exchange, and an ugly sweater contest. The final results of the ugly sweater contest have a social media twist – all pictures of the contestants have been uploaded to the office Facebook page, with the fans deciding who will hold the title of “Ugliest Holiday Sweater.” Visit the Facebook page and post a comment with your vote!

Not to be outdone, Branch Manager Carey Guthrie and the La Mesa Village office held a holiday open house for clients and to welcome the agents who are joining the location from the Allison Avenue La Mesa office. The open house party included an agent and staff supplied potluck, treats, and a variety of contests, including an office holiday decorating contest and a holiday photo contest. The holiday photo contest, where childhood photos of agents and staff were converted to black and white images and hung around the office windows, was a huge success.

Joe Wogoman, Managing Broker of the Carlsbad office, held an office potluck with an ugly sweater theme and contest. Agents and staff were assigned a course to bring based on their last name, and all participants delivered exceptional selections for everyone to enjoy, as well as sweaters that were a feast for the eyes. Although there were many contestants who donned their finest apparel, ultimately Monika Morris was named the winner. For braving the office in an exuberantly festive holiday sweater, she won a Passport Unlimited card.

Throughout the course of the holiday season, all Windermere SoCal offices in San Diego have had boxes collecting toy and canned good donations on behalf of the San Diego Association of Realtors’ (SDAR) Ambassadors Foundation Holiday House Charity Drive. Through their collection efforts, Windermere offices filled over 5 boxes with toys and additional bags of canned goods and clothes for the cause, which benefits several local San Diego organizations.

“We are so lucky to have such high-caliber agents, managers, and staff who want to share in the spirit of the holiday season with one another and the local community,” says Bob Deville, Co-Owner of Windermere Real Estate SoCal. “Bob Bennion and I would like to wish all of our Windermere family happy holidays and good fortune in the New Year.”

Windermere SoCal Welcomes Mary Sea

Windermere SoCal welcomes Mary Sea to the Carlsbad Office
Windermere SoCal welcomes Mary Sea to the Carlsbad Office

Windermere Real Estate SoCal welcomes Realtor® Mary Sea to its Carlsbad office, located at 300 Carlsbad Village Drive, Suite 217. Sea leverages her background in real estate investment and passion for helping others to develop enduring client relationships that generate positive outcomes.

Mary Sea’s ability to listen attentively and share in client triumphs stems from her previous career working with chronically and terminally ill patients and their families. Buying and selling a home can also be an emotional experience. “I have learned how to help people through a trying and emotional time,” says Sea. “This experience has given me insight on how to provide the best possible customer service over the duration of a real estate transaction.”

Sea and her husband dove into the real estate investment world in 1997 as part of a national group that reviewed investment properties, ranging from single-family homes to multi-unit apartment complexes and commercial spaces. “My personal investment experience led me to pursue my Real Estate license,” she adds. She currently focuses on the residential real estate market, working as a listing agent and helping buyers find their dream home, or an investment home. She is currently getting her Seniors Real Estate Specialist® designation through the National Association of Realtors® (NAR).

With an educational background and formal training in clinical psychology, including a Master’s of Social Work Degree in Clinical Psychology, Sea has volunteered at a hospice nursing facility to work with patients and their families. She aspires to continue her volunteer work with in-home hospice patients. Her caring personality and concern for others helps her build outstanding relationships with clients in her real estate business. This relational approach has led to her focus on building her business by referral, a testament to her skills and ability to serve her clients.

Windermere SoCal was appealing to Sea because of “the focus on individual agents. Windermere encourages its agents to have their own brand instead of trying to fit their agents under one ‘cookie cutter’ banner. I liked the fact that I can make my own branding and accentuate my unique qualities, but still have the esteem of the Windermere name backing me,” she concludes.

“Mary’s experience working with a variety of clients, including investors, and her ability to develop lasting relationships with clients sets her up for success in real estate,” states Joe Wogoman, Managing Broker. “We are excited to welcome Mary to our Windermere SoCal family.”

Windermere SoCal is proud to welcome Donna Costan to the Carlsbad Office

Windermere Real Estate SoCal welcomes Realtor® Donna Costan to its Carlsbad office, located at 300 Carlsbad Village Drive, Suite 217. Costan’s exceptional attention to detail and ability to provide superior customer service has helped her build a steady client base throughout North County San Diego.

Costan’s 20-year background as a legal assistant specializing in litigation and bankruptcy makes her well-versed in reviewing and understanding contracts. “I am extremely detail oriented – nothing slips through the cracks,” she says. “My experience with legal documents and contracts allows me to quickly and efficiently review them and consult with my clients.”

With a keen understanding of client service, Costan keeps an open line of communication with her clients and stays in touch on a regular basis to make sure the process is as transparent as possible. “I like to keep a professional relationship with all of my clients and do the best job I can for them. I pride myself on always being available to answer any questions or concerns they may have.”

Currently, Costan is working toward her e-PRO® certification through the National Association of Realtors (NAR), giving her an understanding of technology and digital tools to better serve her clients. “Technology is so important in today’s world of real estate. It is vital to have that aspect integrated into your business, and I am excited to complete this certification and utilize its teachings to help my clients.”

In her free time, Costan gives back to the community by fostering Chihuahuas for Chihuahua Rescue. “I rescued a Chihuahua and fell in love with the breed, so I give back by being a foster home for them once they are sprung from the pound. The organization is great about matching them up with the perfect home.”

Costan switched to Windermere because of the “excellent customer service reputation. All Windermere clients give great customer reviews and they have an exceptional reputation in North County San Diego,” she concludes.

“Donna Costan is a true professional and a welcome addition to our family at the Carlsbad office,” adds Joe Wogoman, Managing Broker. “Her experience with contracts and client communication practices give her the right tools to succeed.
